Another good episode
14 November 2012 | by mitchrmpSee all my reviews

This is another good Flipper episode involving our worry about Flipper. Flipper tries to stop a man from blowing up a coral reef, but Flipper doesn't get out in time and is gravely injured. He makes it back to the Ricks' house and they help him to safety. The vet announces that Flipper is deaf - the worst possible thing that could happen to a dolphin.

This is another one of those episodes that shows just how much the boys love Flipper. They don't leave his side, and Sandy is willing to allow the unthinkable to happen if it is for Flipper's best.

The boys seemed to have done a lot of growing up this season. I don't think they've gotten into trouble from out-right dissidence yet this season. Perhaps the writers have decided to take the attention off of Bud and his antics and focus more on our love for Flipper. Though the boys did disobey their father's orders, it was for their father's - and Flipper's - own good.
