    Barney's Hiccups

Fred tries to cure Barney's hiccups with his new soft drink invention.

A funny episode. The soft drink turns Barney invisible. The funniest scene is when Fred takes invisible Barney to the bowling alley. Fred's obnoxious rival Blowhard challenges him to a game. Barney volunteers to help Fred win. Some of the funniest moments is an announcer calling the game in hushed tones (voiced by Hal Smith).

    • Goofs
During the bowling match, Blowhard is shown shooting an 8 on one of his frames, missing the 7-10 split, but later according to the score sheet, it shows that he has not scored above 4 in any of his frames.

      [Barney is still violently hiccupping]

Fred Flintstone: Hold it Barney! Here, drink this!

[Forcibly pours the concoction down Barney's throat]

Barney Rubble: Yuck! Woo, that tastes awful! I, uh, I feel kinda funny, Fred!

Fred Flintstone: What do you mean, funny?

[Barney starts wobbling and blinking and making weird noises with his tongue out]

Fred Flintstone: Barney! What's the matter?

[there's a loud "poof" and Barney disappears]

Fred Flintstone: Oh boy... .Barney, where are you?

Barney Rubble: I'm right in front of you! Boy, you must need glasses!

      Fred Flintstone: Huh?

Barney Rubble: That drink did the trick, Fred! The hiccups have completely disappeared!

Fred Flintstone: And you with them, Barney! You're invisible!
