Storyline

A crusading newspaper columnist narrowly avoids death in a murder attempt at his home. The van used by his would-be killers was stolen and crosses state lines, bringing the FBI into the case. Erskine and Colby lead the bureau's investigation. But there's more to the case that seems apparent. The columnist utilizes a snitch who's playing both sides. What's more, the person behind the contract on the columnist may be one of his friends. Written by Bill Koenig
