The rifle that Jimmy shoots at Mollie while standing on the airport control tower is a "Break Barrel" pellet gun, not a real firearm rifle.
Look closely at the fore end of the wood stock and you can see a hinge mechanism which allows the barrel to be moved downward which compresses the internal spring and piston and also exposing the chamber where the pellet is loaded by hand. See more »
