One of the last episodes of the first "Dragnet" TV series.

This story is about a criminal with real nerve...he's posing as a REAL cop! It all begins with a complaint from a citizen that he was robbed by this faux copper....and he told the guy his money was counterfeit and he was taking it as evidence! Apparently, this 'Sgt. Haspell' is a busy guy as soon other folks come in to complain about him or ask for him!

This episode of "Dragnet" is similar to a later "Dragnet 1967" episode, "The Badget Racket"--though that later one is about a pair of fake cops...not just a lone crook. The later one is more enjoyable though both are well worth seeing.
