Procrastination.

After an old friend of Rob's writes a book, Rob is angry...at himself. After all, long ago he started writing a novel but never finished it. Now he wants to use his time off work finishing that book and proving to himself that he can do it. Unfortunately, while he's home working on it, he can't seem to get himself going...and he comes up with 1001 ways to distract himself from his task. Eventually, Laura convinces Rob to go off to a cabin and write where there will be no distractions. Does this plan work...or will Rob just continue to procrastinate?

This is just a fair episode, as seeing Dick Van Dyke doing all those things to avoid writing does become a bit tedious after a while. It's not bad exactly, but does wear a bit thin.

Warning: Spoilers
This one has Rob trying to write his novel---it starts at home, where he's always seeing distractions---so he goes to a cabin in the country and practically everything in the cabin distracts him. Dick Van Dyke is great all the way through. And the actor who plays a man who visits Rob at the cabin --a humorously suspicious Guy Raymond--later married Ann Morgan Guilbert.
