To win a bet with Jane, Dharma and Greg plan to have sex in a public locale while the finale of Seinfeld distracts the city.

Greg discovers why Dharma is so eager to 'do it' with him in weird, dangerous, public places: it's a contest with Jane, the winner is awarded the duck (actually a goose), just one of many silly rules. Still Greg decides to help her win the duck back when told doing it with a dull guy like him was worth a bonus. They get arrested, but are released without bail by cop Mel, an old friend of the Finkelsteins. Greg reasons the safest time is during the last episode of Seinfeld, when all San Francisco will be watching inside. However enlisting Pete to give instructions by walkie-talkie is just the lead Jane needs, and she first tricks the Montgomerys to come to the steps of the courthouse...—KGF Vissers

Dharma and Greg are a married couple now and prefer a good night's sleep to sex. Dharma is alarmed when they both fall asleep in the middle of sex.

When Jane breezes in to claim custody of Dharma's stuffed duck, Dharma explains to Greg that it's a trophy held by whoever has had sex in the unlikeliest place. Dharma says that Jane deserves the duck as she is young and single, while she and Greg are married. Dharma is really sad to say that they have a mature relationship. Greg wants the duck and Dharma is pumped.

Having actually fallen asleep during sex the night before, the couple decide to spice up their love life and search the city for a public place to have sex. Dharma got the duck in the first place when she had sex with Greg in a trolley car.

But they get arrested, and Abby and Larry have to come and bail them out. Abby knew the arresting officer, Mel. Mel had arrested Abby and Larry at the pro-breastfeeding demonstration. Mel releases Greg and Dharma without bail.

Greg and Pete scout all locations and seek locations where the police patrols are infrequent enough for them to have sex. Jane has already done half the locations on Greg's list. Dharma suggests doing it on Greg's golf course, but he refuses. Dharma suggests on the steps in front of the courthouse. Greg likes the idea but wants to do it at 4 in the morning when nobody can see them. Dharma tells them that the duck can't be won between midnight and 8 am. Greg wants to do it in front of the courthouse between 9-10 pm and the entire country will be watching the last episode of Seinfeld. Dharma and Greg head to the courthouse wearing nothing but raincoats.

Jane gets to Dharma's house and finds that she is out with Greg. Jane knows that Dharma is trying to win the duck back. Only Pete is at home. Jane 'seduces' Pete by painting his toenails and shaving his legs and talks about their plans and sets out to sabotage their trophy win. Dharma and Greg have a few ironic twists, when the police Passes them, but fail to notice Dharma and Greg. Greg's boss walks out of the building and sees them just before they are about to have sex. Eventually the boss leaves to watch the last episode of Seinfeld.

Finally, Jane calls Greg's parents and tells them Greg is having an emergency conference on the steps of the courthouse. It is not Dharma and Greg who get arrested for having sex on the steps of City Hall, but Kitty and Edward. Edward says something sweet to Kitty, and they get it on.

Dharma and Greg decide to do it in the Ghirardelli Square. Dharma calls Jane from the car and tells her what her plan is. She thinks Jane won't believe her. But Jane believes her and while they are doing it, she steals their raincoats. They win the duck back. They are also arrested and brought to the police station where they meet Kitty and Edward. Dharma hands over the duck to Kitty.
