- Greg joins a trip to Mexico with Dharma and her hippie friends, but things quickly get uncomfortable on the way. Larry gets a job at Montgomery Industries as a night security guard, but his first shift gets the better of him.
- Dharma wants to join Jane on another trip to Mexico, won't be told off by Greg, nor go with his reluctant blessing. Instead Greg comes along with the hippie girls bunch and constantly clashes with the crazy consensus. Larry, who isn't qualified for anything, wants a job in order to get health insurance for the baby. Greg asks his father to intercede at Montgomery Enterprises, the only opening is night security: a recipe for insecurity, even while the 'warrior' is all alone.—KGF Vissers
- Dharma tries to reconnect with her old life by planning a wild road trip to Mexico with her friends (including Jane). They plan to sneak into the Mexican desert and paint a giant message that can be seen by the space shuttle. Dharma wants to take lots of cash as she does not want to spend another night in a Mexican jail.
Greg wont allow her to go alone as the idea is ridiculous and dangerous. Greg says that compromise is the bedrock of all marriages and forbids her from going. Dharma is livid at Greg for telling her what to do. Later, Greg reaches out to Dharma and apologizes for his behavior. Dharma decides not to go at all, as Greg means more to her than anything. But now Greg feels guilty for stopping Dharma from doing what she wants. So, Greg decides to go along for the ride. Dharma tries to talk him out of it, as it is 8 people in a van travelling to Mexico. Greg says that he should try the things she likes and the other way around as well. Dharma's friends are less than pleased at the suggestion.
Greg wears a safari jacket with 38 pockets. He also brings travel scrabble. Greg notices that the van is travelling North while Mexico is in the South. Dharma says that they are picking up 2 people. He points out that 8 people are travelling north in a van to pick 2 people when it would have been far easier for those 2 to come to SFO and travel from there to Mexico. Dharma tries to cover for Greg by saying that while the journey is important, it is also relevant to keep one eye on the goal. There is no paint in the van either to paint the big sign in the desert, no planning what so ever. He is annoyed at all the unscheduled stops. The van stops at multiple places just for food, and still no stops to buy any paint. Greg won't pee in the pickle jar like the rest of them, and makes them stop near a wooded area so he can go. He finds that the road tax is unpaid and suggests making a trip to the DMV. The friends dump both Dharma & Greg by the roadside. They are 419 miles away from San Francisco.
Larry is trying to get a new job. Larry applies for the job of President of a University. Meanwhile, Larry lands a job as a night security guard with Edward's (Mitchell Ryan) company. This was upon Greg's request, since Larry keeps striking out otherwise in his job search. Larry needs the job in order to get medical insurance for the baby. Larry was hoping for some kind of sales, marketing or even a think tank kind of a role. Larry's new boss is Walter (James Avery).
On his first night, Larry gets paranoid that someone is hiding in the building and booby-traps the entire floor. He uses everyday office supplies and turns them into weapons that can cause some minor injuries.
By next morning, the floor is a war-zone.!!
