Trivia
A swastika can be seen painted on a teepee in the Indian village when Quanah is leaving. This is a curious and controversial choice of decoration by the set designers with WWII still fresh in everyone's mind im 1959. Makes you wonder who chose this symbol and why.

Goofs
They talk about the odor of Natural Gas that was being used for lighting in Ft Worth and for cooking in a stove in San Francisco , natural gas naturally has no odor and odor was not added to it until 1880 in Germany because of this. Yes natural gas stoves were around as early as the 1830's but they were not common. Also there was no oil and gas industry in North Texas until the 20th century so no source for the gas for the lights.
