    Excellent and Accurate
Death Valley Days contains many stories of the Old West that are surprisingly accurate. In this case, one only need look up Frank Grouard at Wikipedia to see that the screenplay is reasonably faithful to the actual history.

We do not expect reenactments to be perfect, and they are not. We do not expect the actors to look exactly like the people they portray. None of the actors in this episode are the same race as those they portray. The Indians are not Native Americans, Frank Grouard is not played by a Polynesian, and the Indian he marries came from Ceylon, not Montana. But who cares?

This is good entertainment that tells a largely true story, without all the violence and sex that mars 'modern' productions.
