    Ridiculous

The story arcs in this season of Dallas are ridiculous. JR being held in a chain gang then by a hillbilly family against his will might've have happened somewhere in 1950s (although highly unlikely). But this episode first aired in the eighties. Probably somebody's idea of what rural Arkansas was like.

    • Trivia
Steve Kanaly returns as Ray Krebbs for the next 5 episodes, and is reinstated onto the opening credits rather than credited as a 'Guest Star'. This brief return is treated as the character's official farewell, after leaving as a regular character the previous season in a somewhat low-key manner.
    • Goofs
Just seconds after the Ewings blow up the dam there are cows placidly grazing next to the supposed huge explosion.
