Ronne Troup, who played Janice, was the daughter of Bobby Troup, who played Dr. Joe Early on the TV series "Emergency". She previously played Polly, Chip Douglas' wife on "My Three Sons". She was cast as Sister Bertrille on "The Flying Nun" but was replaced by Sally Field.

Dead on Arrival

Oscar 'Oskie' Gideon escaped from San Quentin when he was due to be released in five days time.

He hires Harry to find his girlfriend Janice. When Oscar wants a lawyer, he sends him to his son Harrison for legal work. Only by the time he gets to Harrison's office. Oscar is shot dead.

Harry thinks that it might be something to so with the money he stole. It was an inside job and $500k was still missing.

They get the help of con man and former cellmate of Oscar to help out. BJ (Stuart Margolin) would only help out if he could be a paralegal for Harrison's firm.

A fun episode although at times it feels like a backdoor pilot featuring BJ. A charming womanising rogue who knows the legal stuff.
