Ed gets the lead out
13 July 2016 | by See all my reviews

"The Veterans" finds the garage in debt to the tune of $2000, and no bank willing to grant a loan for a businessman with such poor credit as Ed Brown. A government notice offers Chico hope because both he and Ed are veterans of different wars, but Ed clears up his lack of a Purple Heart by disclosing the fact that he was not injured overseas, but in the Red Light district of New Orleans! He managed to get arrested in a 'house of joy' because he didn't want to bleed on the sidewalk, a stray bullet fired by a crazy man ricocheting off the sidewalk and striking him in the ass (Chico: "they get the lead out?"). Mr. Sheldon (Jonathan Daly) is willing to grant money to a school that offers a trade, but isn't too thrilled to find only two students in the Ed Brown facility, Chico and Louie!
