Goofs

Melinda Warren makes the comment about the book of shadows having gotten so thick. But she was burned at the stake in 1692 and, according to its first page, the book of shadows wasn't started until 1693, so there's no way she could have known if the book was always that thick or not. However, just because the first page of the Book of Shadows says 1693, doesn't mean that the original spells weren't from before that date. There is the possibility that Melinda's daughter, or other descendants, added that page to the book at a later date. Not to mention that the Book of Shadows would never have been in such an ostentatious binding when it was first put together. See more »

Quotes

Melinda Warren: Once Matthew had what he wanted, he told the town council I was a witch and they arrested me. Then they burned me at the stake.
Piper Halliwell: Why didn't you save yourself?
Phoebe Halliwell: Yeah. Why didn't you use your powers to escape?
Melinda Warren: I had a daughter. Her name was Prudence. She meant everything to me. If I'd used my powers, I would've proven Matthew's charge, and Prudence would've burned, too. So I thought I'll accept this and pray some kind soul will take pity on my daughter and raise her in a safe home. Only then can the ...

Lets welcome back....

The witch is back works on many levels from digging into the mythology, utilizing a great story line and featuring one of the best vanquishes you have to see to believe. Taylor Layton is a great actress with a fresh face and old worldly charm. Her smile could light up a room and her voice is music to my ears. I could but her character being from the past and installing forgotten wisdom onto the witches.

Billy Wirth was sexy, seductive and dangerous with a great connection to the over all story arch. His portrayal seemed ancient, serious and very threatening. His interactions with the girls was always random, used to the fullest while displaying his deadly nature to perfection. While his plan seemed a little shallow and repetitive his character arch made it into a grand scheme only an evil genius could formulate.

Its one of my favorites that I look forward to on each re watch and I always pick up something new each time. That's what great story telling does when your heart and soul is in it.
