Cheryl Ladd said Executive Producer Aaron Spelling loved her tummy and put her in bikinis a lot more than the other characters. This time, Ladd rebelled by wearing an especially tiny bikini, not approved for TV. The director objected and she replied, "Well, Aaron wants me in a bikini so this is what he's going to get. We're running late and we gotta shoot the scene. Let's go, I'm not changing." The bikini appears, but one of the close-ups is blurred because too much of Ladd was visible for the TV standards of the time.
Actor Jared Martin appears twice, at the beginning, both times exiting the church. First, right after the intro credits, about 12 seconds in, then he is seen---very distinctly, and buttoning his jacket---right after the close-up on the casket being put into the hearse. In fact, it seems to be one continuous scene, re-shot then split into two. He has no lines and is uncredited. It is unclear whether his part met the cutting room floor or if he just took a job as an extra. Martin was hardly an unknown player by then, since he had starred, the previous year, in his own series, The Fantastic Journey (1977).
The opening scene shows a woman being struck by a car then lying dead on the ground. Very graphic for such a family show as this.
Lee Terri (Evelyn Wales) previously appeared as a different character in season two's Game, Set, Death (1978), and later in season four's Three for the Money (1980) and season five's He Married an Angel (1981).
