Just Who ARE These Guys?
26 October 2006 | by ccthemovieman-1See all my reviews

The opening has a young girl enter an elevator and an older man lingering around and then quickly squeezing his way in. It looks like some mugger is after his prey. However, it turns out to be a pre-planned sexual rendezvous and the two start going at it hot-and-heavy. The elevator reaches its destination, the door opens and - POW - the man is blown away by a gun blast. When Mac,Stella and Don arrive to examine the scene, the girl is long gone but they deduce a young girl was probably a witness to the crime. What's puzzling is the weapon. From all indications, it's nothing they are familiar with, and Mac calls in Danny and Lyndsay to help with the lab work on this case.

Meanwhile, Hawkes is pulling up a dead body from a pond in Central Park. Stella goes to help him on that one. The body was dead before it was ever dumped in the pond. Whoever dumped the body, left in a hurry. Evidence from the dead man's clothing is puzzling. Some of his clothes, like his shoes and socks, look like they are from a homeless person. Yet, his shirt, pants and a Rolex watch indicate the opposite. Just who was this guy?

This is a very interesting episode, the best since the opening one of the second season.
