Judge Ben 'Fair and Square' Wiley: These men fought and died for the Seventh Cavalry. They were young men - their commander, George Armstrong Custer, was 22 when he graduated from West Point, 37 when he died under the flag at the Little Big Horn. A nice way to start the series off.

To start the series off, we are treated to a tale that seems almost harsh by today's standards. What has happened is that the US Cavalry has arrest Indian Chief Geronimo and is being sent, by train, to a prison. But there are people that want to free the Indian Chief. Not because they are sympathetic to the Indian nation but they are greedy and wanting a reward.

A few greedy men have enlist the help of the local telegraph operator to help them locate the train that is transporting the Chief. With this information the men will alert Geronimo's tribe and they will be paid a handsome fee. But when Bill Jr overhears the entire operation, he knows he must alert the Cavalry. But it is not that easy since the criminals have access to the telegraph lines and overhear all transmissions.

The story, even though aged, was still well enough to produce interest. We get to see some of the stunts performed by Dick Jones that will become the driving force of the entire series. The stories that will be coming seems to be focused more on the younger audience, yet it still has some enjoyment for the adults. Even though this episode was not as strong as others it still made for a nice watch. We get introduced to the characters that will be friends for the next two years.
