Trivia
Sherwood Schwartz had tried on numerous occasions to get Vincent Price to appear on Gilligan's Island. He wanted him for the role of Wrongway Feldman and the Mad Professor. Price finally agreed to appear in Season 4. When Gilligan's Island was cancelled after just 3 seasons, Price agreed to be on an episode of The Brady Bunch. Price was the key reason for the Hawaii episodes as he was still a major star at the time and the story lines were written based on his stereotype character.

Goofs
The idea that a whole wing of a University would be renamed after the Professor after just 24 hours is absurd.

THE MAD DOCTOR WILL SEE YOU NOW!

The GRANDE FINALE of the classic three episode trip to Hawaii, and its a t-riffic. If you are a true BRADY BUNCH fan you know this is the absolute best.

Greg, Peter and Bobby are trapped by eccentric Dr. Whitehead (Vincent Price at his hammiest), believing they're going to steal his archaeological find --just like the dirty rat who stole his last one?

Worries, worries! Price is so over the top here, no shame. Actually, Sherwood Shwartz had wanted him to guest star on GILLIGANS ISLAND about 10 years earlier. Finally, Price had an opening and he appeared in two episodes, which are now camp tv classics.

Not enough could be said about this really episodic Hawaiian trip; the sets, the scenery and the fun story put it way over the top. Also some neat dialogue and one liners. Yes, you kind of feel sorry for the old professor who confesses his sad story to Mike and Carol.

Great Hawaiian dance scene (with fire) near the end, and with guest star Leon Lontoc as the mayor's speaker. Leon was a popular tv actor, a regular on BURKES LAW in the 60s, and on many cop shows.

I'll bet Price signed lots of autographs here.

Do NOT miss this. From SEASON 4 EPISODE 3 remastered Paramount dvd box set. Classic family cover for fans.
