Meanwhile, Aaron and his daughter have stopped on the trail for the night in order to prepare for the Sabbath. Orthodox in the west
1 May 2019 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

The Cartwrights deal with an itinerant peddler Ludwig Donath and his daughter Aneta Corseaut traveling through the west. It's something that the Cartwrights and the other folks in the Virginia City area have never dealt with before.

Donath is a kind man, but a strict Sabbath observing Jew and keeps Corseaut on a strong leash. He has a right to be concerned asa couple of prairie toughs have the two picked out for a robbery. He has to be rich, you know those people.

Pernell Roberts has something of an interest, but given her strong faith and her father's you know it's not in the cards.

A nice performance by Ludwig Donath best remembered as Al Jolson's father in The Jolson Story and Jolson Sings Again.
