Is she for real?
10 February 2016 | by See all my reviews

Christopher Connelly as a former Ponderosa ranch hand and Elaine Giftos as a young con artist guest star in this Bonanza episode. He's inherited $67,000.00 and the question is whether she really loves him or is after his money. We know what the answer would be in the real world.

But this is television and romances stem from the strangest of places. Giftos is working a very nice con with her uncle James Westerfield and of all people the future Dad Walton Ralph Waite. It's all about salting a played out mine that she claims was inherited from dear old dad but has all kinds of liens on it. But a marriage proposal shouldn't be part of it, that comes with a bad price.

Of course with former employers and friends like the Cartwrights it's not like Connelly has no resources. But is Giftos for real?
