Dan Blocker and John Dehner in Bonanza (1959)

Goofs

The Gentleman from New Orleans

Bonanza

Edit

Continuity

Molly fires Hoss' sixgun eight times without reloading.

Revealing mistakes

In the opening scene, you can hear a lot of laughter as if coming from the whole crowd that's watching the women who are fighting yet most people in the saloon are clearly not laughing.
After attorney Betts shoots the curtain where he thinks Lafitte is hiding, Hoss pulls it back and the window behind it is intact.

Miscellaneous

Striking a diamond with a rock is not a good test for a diamond. Real diamonds are strong but brittle. The idea that a diamond can only be cut by a diamond has led to the idea they are nearly indestructible. Can be shattered by a sharp blow. So little Joe might have reduced a valuable stone to a pile of far less valuable chips.

Anachronisms

It was known that Ben sailed for many years. Then he should have known that Jean Lafitte was born around 1776 and died in 1823. Someone who sailed would have known a lot about Jean Lafitte since he played a big part in the War of 1812 and was a notorious pirate in those days. He was long dead by the times represented in Bonanza.
