Trivia

This episode is nearly identical in title, plot, and even some camera angles to the Little House On The Prairie episode "A Matter Of Faith" (which only switched the focus to Karen Grassle's character rather than Michael Landon's). Both were written by B.W. Sandefur and directed by William F. Claxton. See more »

Little Joe doesn't show up
18 August 2020 | by bkoganbingSee all my reviews

T's roundup time at the Ponderosa and Michaek Kandon stays behind to go with the chuck wagon when it arrives. Cook Ted Gehring and young son Vincent Van Patten arrive at the Ponderosa, but no Landon and they go on,

Landon met with a bad accident during a kughtning storm, Most of the episode focuses on him and and how he tries tohelp himself with no ne else around.

There are no good alternatives for him and what he contemplates doing is drastic and terrible. Big kudos go to Michael Landon for this story,
