ONE OF THE BEST TRAPS IN THE ENTIRE SERIES
Released on parole under the tutelage of Bruce Wayne, Catwoman enrolls in the University of Gotham City, she pretends to finish her studies but in reality she is organizing a student revolt to distract the police and seize some valuable cat's eye opals that intends to sell on the black market. This episode features one of the best cliffhangers of the entire series with Batman and Robin tied up inside a gigantic coffee cup on top of a building and whose coffee pot pours sulfuric acid on them. Also noteworthy is the memorable final scene where Catwoman wants to seduce Batman. Julie Newmar is more and more beautiful and sexy as the series progresses.

FOND FAREWELL TO CATWOMAN JULIE.
Julie Newmar appeared as the Catwoman for two seasons, cutting ties with the series after this episode, purely for business reasons. In later years she said she really loved the show, but signed a long term contract with a production company, featuring her in MCKENNAS GOLD, also with Burgess Meredith. Unfortunately, even with all the publicity, the film did not do well in the US, though always rerun on tv. If not cut for cable, this is the film that features Julie swimming naked.
Julie's original Catwoman suit was donated to the Smithsonian Institute.
In a super episode, Catwoman has her paws ready to snatch the Batagonian Opal, working with smooth operator French Freddie, the master fence, played by debonaire Jacques Bergerac. Bergerac usually played "gentlemen" con men or distinguished types. Also in the cast is Whitney Blake (from HAZEL), looking prim and proper as Amber Forever? Also check out funny man Stanley Adams playing a cop called Captain Courageous.
Clever tech scene has Alfred using a combination typewriter/phone computer to fool Commissioner Gordon into thinking he's talking with Bruce Wayne, all the while Batman is standing next to him. Alfred types the responses out on his typewriter and Wayne's recorded voice is fed back through the phone. The wonders of Batman technology. Best line department: "You're the Catwoman?" Answer: "IN THE FUR. "
Directed with style by old pro Robert Sparr, behind tons of classic cop shows. Sparr died a few years after this episode in a plane crash, and is missed.
High Fives for Julie Newmar, never forgotten. SEASON 2 1967 remastered color dvd box set.
Box set cover is a classic in purple.

The 33 Year Old Julie Newmar
No lady but all woman, Ms Newmar left 'Batman' with a flourish in the climactic scene of her final episode in Season Two.
In one single take she glides gracefully across the set like the trained dancer she was before standing in front of the Caped Crusader, placing her hands on her hips and informing him that "I could give you more happiness than just about anyone alive", making it pretty plain what was on the menu.
