Sir Horace Winslip's accent is very plummy when he gives the name of his little train. He is saying 'John of Gaunt'; he is not saying 'John Galt'. In the 15th century, John of Gaunt, the son of a king, founded the House of Lancaster and became the ancestor of a few more kings. He was also the richest man in England at that time. See more

I wouldn't travel any other way, would you? Can't possibly enjoy a meal any other way. Brought up on trains, you know. My father made all his money out of trains. And now, if I attempt to eat a meal without the gentle rocking and the scenery flashing by, I get the most dreadful indigestion.
