Although this episode doesn't take place chronologically until several episodes later, several story lines in this episode directly relate to the events that took place in episode 1.18, Arrested Development: Missing Kitty
(2004). However, the fact that Oscar (Jeffrey Tambor
) appears in it suggests that the episode is not intended to be set directly afterwards (as Oscar wasn't introduced until the previous episode, Arrested Development: Whistler's Mother
(2004)). Enough time has passed for the Girls With Low Self-Esteem filmed in that episode to be released. See more
One of the police officers makes reference to having daughters who seem to have run off somewhere. In the next season, the same officers are a couple and hire Maggie (Julia Louis-Dreyfus
) to be a surrogate mother so they can finally have children. Their next appearance completely disregards the fact that they already have kids. See more
