Goofs

Goober's Contest

The Andy Griffith Show

Edit

Continuity

In early season 6, Aunt Bee wins several thousand dollars worth of prizes on a TV quiz show while the Taylors are on vacation in Hollywood. Then at the very end of season 7, just before and then again just after she wins a mere $5 cash prize in Goober's "Grab Bag for Cash" filling station contest, she twice states that she's never won anything before in her life. How quickly she forgot about the new refrigerator, mink coat, and other valuable prizes she had won only the year before.
As Floyd is pulling away from the service station he drives through a gate in a chain-link fence, implying that the station is on private property, not on a public thoroughfare.

Miscellaneous

Outside the barbershop after they told Floyd there is no $200 prize, Andy says "I don't know Gomer." instead of Goober.
In both shots in which Floyd's car is actually in motion, the person driving is an obvious double for actor Howard McNear. The double is both taller and thinner. This is undoubtedly because of the limited use of his legs and arms McNear had following his stroke.
