Jack Albertson ,who sneaks into Mayberry in a box car, is delightful as one of those dreamers with delusions of greatness. Watch how he casually attempts to literally gain the upper hand with Andy by disengaging Andy's hand from his arm and taking the latter's arm as they walk away from the freight yard. Ann Morgan Guilbert, late of The Dick van Dyke Show, crosses soundstages to play the town's society page reporter who has apparently hit a dry spell in the local news scene. Clara is predictably envious of Bee's celebrity guest and the attention that he is receiving, envious that is until she is led to believe that his visit might be a windfall for the townspeople. The KFC chain gets an oblique reference from Cousin Bradford, and his scheme to promote Bee's ice cream is reckoned by the townspeople as yet another of the biggest things to ever hit Mayberry. Opie has the funniest line upon hearing Bee say that the family will have to leave town. He gets honorable mention as well for informing Andy that he has no intention of leaving the breakfast table while Andy and Bee discuss the problem of what to do about Cousin Bradford.
