The Haunted Lighthouse

I'll be reviewing every episode of 'The Adventures of Superman', as I watch them. This was my first viewing of this particular episode and I love it. A healthy dose of atmosphere makes the low budget island set work. The beginning narration and Jimmy's arrival kick off a vibe of weirdness and suspicion that runs throughout the episode. An investigation of mysterious goings-on gives Jimmy the spotlight here; while allowing the one-off characters a chance to pop. The strange surroundings and circumstances make for a fun and inventive plot, on their own. With the Superman action adding the right amount of spice to the proceedings. This episode now ranks among my favorites. (A+)
