The fact that this show is popular is an indictment on America
15 July 2007 | by will-559See all my reviews

I do not understand this shows popularity. First off, the show is simply unrealistic. I can be made to believe that Dinosaurs exist for Jurassic Park, but in this day and age, no teen celebrity could live a double life.

Secondly, the production quality is awful. I can live with some of the less than stellar acting performances, but when the characters go to the beach it always makes me mad. They show a couple obvious stock footage clips and then cut to a sound stage. How hard could it be to film at a beach when you film it in Hollywood?

Thirdly, it just isn't original. Hannah Montana is just another cookie-cutter Disney Channel show following in the footsteps of Lizzie, Even Stevens, That's So Raven, and Phil of the Future.

I give this 2 stars. It deserves a one, but I still have to leave room for the Suite Life. That's on a level of it's own -- I believe it's called the 9th Circle of Hell.
