Storyline

Think you are psychic? Shawn Spencer (James Roday) makes his living pretending to be. Shawn and his best friend Burton "Gus" Gu ster (Dulé Hill) own a business called "Psych". They are able to stay in business only because of the cases they work with the Santa Barbara Police Department as psychics. Shawn and Gus go through many ups and downs trying to keep the ruse up. Can they pretend forever? Or is the world they built going to come crumbling down?

The vampire-themed season six, episode three, "This Episode Sucks", featured three vampire-themed guest stars. First was Corey Feldman from The Lost Boys (1987), and the second was Tom Lenk from the television series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). The third is Kristy Swanson, who starred in the movie, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992). As Corey Feldman turns around to the camera, "Cry Little Sister" from The Lost Boys (1987) soundtrack was playing in the background.

Goofs

Unless Henry was secretly a multaimillionaire, there's no way that he could have afforded a home near the beach in Santa Barbara, especially being retired. A house in that area would be worth nearly a million dollars (for a tiny home) and up to $10-15 million for a multi-bedroom dwelling.The taxes alone would make the home unaffordable, especially considering that he is a retired police officer who was not the department chief.

Psyched about Psyched

What can I say about Psych? A great, great TV series that has class written all over it! I've been a big fan of Dule Hill's since She's All That and he compliments James Roday's equally fine comedic talents.

The series doesn't depend on punch-ups and curse words to get its point across (sorry HBO!)Instead you have top-notch people like Tim Omundson (Carlton Lassiter), Maggie Lawson (the ever so hot Juliet O'Hara!) and Corbin Bernsen that make up such a wonderful ensemble. Plus, the stories are inventive & fresh.

I love the banter between Shawn Spencer (Roday) & Burton "Gus" Guster (Hill) and then Shawn vs Lassiter! I haven't laughed this hard in a long time and one can only hope this will get a much deserved DVD release in the future (with blooper reels guys!) The only gripe I have is that they could make the opening theme tune longer, have more of Corbin Bernsen as Henry Spencer and get Shawn a decent girlfriend who's not connected to the crime he's investigating! Love this show and it gets 10/10 from me! PS: Why is the color green associated with the show?
