Until now they have always chewed on the short end of life. Pellini is too small, Mobo a paraplegic, Bowman fat, Gilbert a klutz and Gus a loser. But they are about to put an end to this! Gus has fallen in love and his friends are willing to do anything to help him. However, the venture proves to be a lot harder than expected. Not only do they not have a clue about women, they soon find themselves dealing with strippers, babies, secret agents and the Mafia.Written by
I don't usually go watch Swiss films. Although they are getting better... This one is not very Swiss at all and I found it very enjoyable. It was filmed in America and has an international cast. It's not the most original story, but it has a bunch of good laughs and an over all "feel-good" friendly feeling which I miss in most other films. It's a screwball comedy. Fast talking, not too serious: Four losers team up to help their other loser friend get the girl. The characters are lovable and the girl is lovely. What more do you want? And then somehow the Mafia also gets involved with Martin Landau as the clichéd "big boss". In the end it almost seems more like a comic book than a film.... but whatever: I enjoyed it.
