All the Boys Love Mandy Lane

This is a special kind of movie, although it is classified under horror a lot of horrorgeeks will spit this flick out. The reason is that this is a kind of arty horror, the movie doesn't give you a lot of gore or red stuff, it gives you a story about childhood and the obscene minds. The title of the movie says it all. Mandy is almost an adult but is still a virgin and all the boys want to make love with her, they all try to seduce her. That's what we get in the first part of the movie. Of course she doesn't have real friends except the nerd of the school. He's in love with Mandy and Mandy knows. Even the girls hate Mandy, because of her beauty. We really get to know all the friends of Mandy, after a half an hour of this flick she accepted to go out for a weekend to a ranch. That's were everything goes wrong. You will get to know who the killer is so you will think you will know how this movie ends, no way, there's a sudden twist in it you can't expect. The movie is beautifully filmed, they used a lot of what we call in the bizz "flair" with the lens of the camera. And the editing was sublime too. The use of high speed camera's and freezes makes it all arty farty but it works. Even the score is picked out to connect with the scene's. If you are in the mood to watch a slow starter with a twist then Mandy Lane is yours. Be aware that this flick is already from 2006 but wasn't available for 2 years. If you search the Net to find you a copy you will see that it is still available but it is already an OOP. So catch yourself a copy before it is a hard finder like for example Cherry Falls.
