Dolores runs the Lolita Cabaret, a performance hall located in a central street of Madrid. The artists live in the hotel adjacent to the premises waiting for an investor to help them raise the curtain again.
Three friends at a table with a couple of bottles of liquor. Maybe they are drunk but they do not appear so. One of them introduces the notion of a "pony", an event in your early childhood that is an embarrassment and that marks you for the rest of your life. From then on, revelations about each are made by the other two in an effort to encover such ponys. A more virulent form of the game of telling a secret about yourself.
Some may find humor in this short. I didn't. The uncovering of uncomfortable truths does not lead anywhere. The film ends in a sing-along. Join me: "My ponys lies over the ocean. My ponys lies over the sea..."
