Storyline

The winter of 1967 is coming to an end. Laura, a nine-year-old girl, is found drowned in a marsh near a boarding school in the Pyrenees. A month later, a mysterious stranger, Marco arrives in the city and moves into the attic of an isolated mountain house. Meanwhile, the director of the boarding school, Julia, witnesses strange behavior in Monica, the roommate of the murdered girl. Monica is simultaneously frightened by and yet drawn to the marsh. What is the mystery it holds? Perhaps the sightings of Laura in the days after her drowning are something otherworldly.

or how to entertain you for a while
30 December 2006 | by trivijuanSee all my reviews

I was to the cinema looking for something different, not as easy as going to see babel or another great productions. And i was surprised with this well-done piece, made with a few money and without too much trailers on TV.

The thing is that the cold in the movie affects you. It's cold in Pirineos and specially in 1967. And you are cold in your seat. The beginning in the movie is slowly and the end is in my opinion, too much aseptic. But there are really interesting sequences along the film, and history become interesting for a moments.

I like Spanish cinema in general, but i am a little tired of seeing the same faces doing similar papers in all the Spanish movies. But i didn't know any actor in this. A pair of secondaries, nothing else.

Well, I recommend you if you like frighten amazing movies. A 7. Let's see what this Pablo is able to do.
