Storyline

What if the U.S. government released a "public service film" to teach Americans today how to be good citizens? "We're the Government -- and You're Not," is a satire of just such an "educational film." It's a satire of just how the federal government expects its "loyal subjects" to behave. If you'll obey these simple rules, you'll be a good, patriotic American citizen -- as far as the feds are concerned. Written by David McElroy

I was impressed with the way the filmmaker was able to do such a good short on such a small budget, and cram so much humor in his observations about government intrusion. Glad I saw it today!

All 3 sections are well acted and professionally shot. I was impressed with the night shot in the park- very sharp.

For such a small film, he picked good actors- many of them are very good at their line(s), with only one or two weak links. The first dissident is very good. The voice-over actor is superb. I can't say enough good things about this short film. Congratulations to the director!

Hope more people will check it out!
