Storyline

After six months of marriage, the attractive, free-spirited and sexually insatiable housewife, Marta, already feels the passion wane and the desire for her literary editor husband, Dario, wither. However, in the background of Mantua's renowned literary festival, young Marta will fall for the charms of an intriguingly handsome stranger, the French Leon, while admiring Palazzo del Te's vivid murals. Of course, Marta's scandalous affair behind her husband's back will soon be noticed, as the suspicious Dario is engulfed little by little by the impatient and fierce flames of lust. Perhaps a dash of infidelity is all that Dario needs to awaken his dormant enthusiasm for the neglected Marta. Written by Nick Riganas

Frothy bedroom romp
3 March 2017 | by foxc-2See all my reviews

Just as the British have a lock on double entendre dialogue and presenting really dirty sexual situations with a dollop of humour which makes the whole thing funny and not the least offensive, I found this film with its explicit sex (everything except penetration) a light-hearted, humorous and altogether engaging bedroom romp. Sure some of the shots are almost medical in their precision and you'd better like butt shots because they abound but the whole thing is so lightweight, so non-serious that it's almost an escapist film. Sexy as hell but not pornographic.
