Storyline

HELL HATH NO FURY is the new film from Creepy Six Films (Vampires vs. Zombies; Human Nature) - A horror anthology that's a balls-out bloody and erotic mix of stories in the style of horror anthologies like The Hot Blood Series and Tales form the Crypt. Spiced with liberal -and very gory- doses of wicked inspiration from classic revenge films like Ms. 45, I Spit on Your Grave, Irreversible, and Last House on the Left, Creepy Six Films' Hell Hath No Fury is a funny, sexy, gory, disturbing and exciting ride into an insanely twisted world where the women scorned exact their vengeance like never before. Trivia

The title comes from the phrase "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned", which itself is a paraphrase from a line in William Congreve's 1697 play The Mourning Bride, in which the original line is, "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned." See more »

Could be worse
20 November 2009 | by gaius-octaviusSee all my reviews

This film is actually a collection of shorts, tied together rather awkwardly by a conversation between two men in a coffee shop. The look and feel of each short varies greatly, and the sound on my copy (part of the Catacomb of Creepshows collection) was poor, which didn't aid understanding.

Some consider the final story, "Torched" the best of the lot, but for me it was a little melodramatic. Still, if you want an over-the-top rape revenge story, it'll probably hit the spot nicely. Of the other stories, "Three Degrees Kelvin" seems completely pointless, and not at all suited for the anthology, "Prey" is another rape revenge tale - albeit a more creative one - and "Anna Lynn" is an eerie, rather than gory, piece. The latter was probably my favourite of the collection, due in part to the very attractive Kieran Sequoia.

Overall, it's not memorable, but there are worse ways to kill time and the acting is generally of a better standard than many low-budget films.
