Voodoo Lagoon

This movie tries too hard to be something it's not that it fails to deliver. The characters are rushed that we don't get ample time to learn them let alone root or feel for them. A bunch of college kids who could all pass for models and simply couldn't fight their way out of a rumble with a blow-up doll. None of the characters are likable and they all come off as boring. Even the guy with the tattooed arm is wimpy (Ashley Hamilton "Tom") his character I waited for him to smoke a cigarette but guess I was wrong. Lincoln Lewis (Aaron) who I saw in the movie "Bait 3D" I think was wasted here.

The gore just wasn't gory enough to get a reaction, the suspense was simply not there, the fright was weak and failed to scare and the horror of the movie was most likely left on the cutting room floor. The acting we can't really blame as shallow as they are only as good as the director and in this movie it was the director who I felt failed. He Nick Cohen just doesn't cut it and never used his actors to his advantage. He used gore to scare and that alone is what hurts the movie. I've seen movie's with a similar base that works but here it's nothing more than a snooze fest.

Save your time and money on this one as it's nothing more than a time waster that never tries to grab your attention.
