This was a nationally televised 30-minute program shot at NBC studios (8H) and for color episodes it was shot at NBC Color facility at E.16th St. & Avenue M in Brooklyn. Hugh Daly was a member of the NBC Teen Workshop and appeared in every episode. Most of the shows were televised LIVE on NBC Network. The program featured most of the popular rock and roll performers of the time. ( The Shirelles, Jo Ann Campbell, Dion,Brian Hyland, Brenda Lee,The Playmates , Hank Ballad, Chubby Checker,Sam Cooke, Johnny and The Hurricanes etc. ) There was NO lip sync allowed as the performers were accompanied by the full NBC Orchestra. Since this was primarily a LIVE program, and High School kids were in the studio audience, The members of the NBC Teen Workshop always sat & stood around the host and the performers in order to insure that no inappropriate gestures or comments would show up in the close up shots.
