The sci-fi western series from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy was inspired by the 1973 Michael Crichton film of the same name and is set at a Wild West theme park created by Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) with human-like androids where guests are encouraged to indulge their fantasies and desires.Written by
The "Westworld" park is set in the 1870's. This becomes clear in Season #2 when Dolores is at "Fort Forlorn", inside which is stationed the US Army's 25th Infantry Regiment, as evident by the flags in the fort. The 25th were stationed in various places in Texas and New Mexico for the entire 1870's until they were transferred to the Dakota territory in 1880. See more »
Clipping my toenails is more interesting than season 2
As so many others have said, season 1 was very good, divergent stories all coming together.
Much like "True Detective", season 2 is a hot mess.
One of my toenails hit an empty beer can and made a cool "clink" sound. That was more interesting than any episode of season 2.
Disclaimer: I am old enough to remember seeing the original Westworld movie in 1973 for fifty cents.
