Storyline

Mob boss Primo Sparazza has taken out a hefty contract on Buddy "Aces" Israel, a sleazy magician who has agreed to turn state's evidence against the Vegas mob. The FBI, sensing a chance to use this small-time con to bring down big-target Sparazza, places Aces into protective custody-under the supervision of two agents dispatched to Aces' Lake Tahoe hideout. When the word of the price on Aces' head spreads into the community of ex-cons and cons-to-be, it entices bounty hunters, thugs-for-hire, deadly vixens and double-crossing mobsters to join in the hunt. With all eyes on Tahoe, this rogues' gallery collides in a comic race to hit the jackpot and rub out Aces. Written by Anthony Pereyra {hypersonic91@yahoo.com}

Goofs

FBI agents wouldn't randomly open fire in the general direction of the 50 caliber gunfire due to risk of public safety; There would be no telling where their bullets would hit. Even if they knew where to shoot, which they didn't, at that range a Glock (or any handgun) is totally inaccurate, not to mention it probably wouldn't have enough stopping power left to do anything. Quotes

[first lines]
Donald Carruthers: You've got to be careful when doing your stakeouts. I did one for... I was on one for six months. I gained, like, 20, 25 pounds. You keep eating this crap...
Richard Messner: Well, that's not my problem, though. I don't gain weight. I tried.
Donald Carruthers: That's 'cause you're 12 years old.

A fun film with a story
24 July 2011 | by See all my reviews

If you haven't seen this film id better point out (which many people have missed in their reviews or ignored) is that this film is a comedy, it is not in any way meant to be taken seriously.

With that in mind it is a thoroughly entertaining movie. There is a plot about around 5 different flavors of assassins and hit men competing for a $1m contract on an FBI informer Buddy "Aces" Israel, a sure recipe for carnage. There is a deeper plot than that but i wont go into detail as it will spoil the overall plot as there is a very major twist.

There are a number of big names in this film so the acting is superb and there are many scenes which left me both laughing and intrigued.

Again i must stress that if you go into this film expecting anything other than a fun, exhilarating action movie not to be taken seriously then you will miss the whole point as many other reviewers have, this is definitely a comedy. A great, fun film for the lads.
