Luísa Albuquerque is in the process of preparing for the wedding of her daughter Teresa. The bride is not very convinced of the step that will take and on the eve of the ceremony she meets Miguel Rosa. This saves her from a conflict in the middle of the airport when Teresa goes to get her sister Isabel, coming from New York for the wedding. Teresa falls in love with Miguel but puts the love of both in the hands of destiny: Until the next day, each one will follow his life. On the wedding day, while Teresa struggles with the decision she has to make, the Albuquerque family is haunted by news that Mário Albuquerque's company has been embezzled by its chief financial officer and his secretary Leonor, leave him in misery. Luísa finds herself between a daughter who does not want to marry a rich man and a husband in bankruptcy. The fate of the Albuquerque is in Teresa's hands.
