Wow, is this weird!!

You've gotta see this cartoon--it's amazingly bizarre. It's all about an army of anthropomorphic germs that are out to infect a family but thanks to the Good Health Brigade, everyone lives happily ever after! Seeing all these evil microbes running about is pretty funny and what might be funnier is using this film to mess with others' minds. Show it to small children and swear to them that this is all TRUE! Show it to people with Generalized Anxiety Disorder or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and watch them squirm and run out of their seats to wash their hands. Show it to a very impressionable person and watch them come down with symptoms themselves. The possibilities are endless!

Now, as for the quality of this Ub Iwerks production, it's about par for the course for studios other than Disney. The other studios were mostly making insipid singing black & white cartoons through most of the 30s and this one is no different--though the subject matter does make it stand out from the crowd.
