Storyline

What starts out a standard talking head doc about one woman's experience in Auschwitz during WW2 turns into a picture of an aging Hungarian woman - Ms Emmy - and how having red hair saved her life. The filmmakers don't hide their involvement in the making of the film, rather are continually bossing her around, which allows us to appreciate the density, detail and focus of Ms Emmy's reflections. The only thing I've convinced
12 April 2009 | by fthorresSee all my reviews

The only thing I was convinced after watching the movie Is the women is lying. Her story is completely fictional. When she was asked how she could prove she is telling was the truth she replied (she is a kind of smart old lady) "Do you think I would have received money from German government if it wasn't true?" Well I suppose the Jewish movie maker, David Cole, who made "The true behind the gates of Auschwitz" would ask for more than the German money she receive as a proof of authenticity In fact everybody who try to, at least, discuss the authenticity of such stories are accused to be ant-Semitic thus racist. You can not even discuss! I am not anti-anything. Well actually I am anti-Israel but Israel and Jewish are different things. One is a country acting as a Nazi state the other is a respectable culture and a culture means many things but a country. Anyway I hope people can watch Cole's movie. He paid an enormous price for have done it arising questions Israel don't want discussed. Actually you can watch it on youtube or googlemovies
