Tagline: "High School is Hell." A trailer for The Dead Ones came out in late 2019. Now, the film has been acquired by genre focused Artsploitation Films. An innovative title, The Dead Ones was developed by director Jeremy Kasten (The Attic Expeditions) and writer Zach Chassler. In the film, four outcast teens are on clean-up duty and serving Summer detention. When four masked killers turn up, they must confront a real horror. Those fighting the horror include actors: Sarah Rose Harper ("The Last Time"), Brandon Thane Wilson (The Blacklist), Katie Foster and several others. A few more details, on The Dead Ones, are hosted here. A couple of early reviews have come out, since the film's Belgium World Premiere. Anton Bitel at Rue Morgue has mentioned the Columbine influences in the film: "[The Dead Ones] play[s] out in a manner that is distressingly contemporary, in an age when, for good or ill, children lead much of their lives online,...

Paramount Network is moving ahead with a prequel TV series adapting the acclaimed crime drama, Sexy Beast.
Sexy Beast made its share of waves during the 2002 awards season, notably due to the 2001-released crime drama’s showcase of Sir Ben Kingsley – in shockingly transformative form – in his Best Supporting Oscar-nominated performance as the sociopathic powder-keg of a criminal, Don Logan. However, it seems that the property will do so again, this time in the form of a prequel TV series on the Paramount Network.
Indeed, the Sexy Beast prequel series – a shopped project picked up last year – has officially received the green light from Paramount Network, which just made the confident-inspired move of a straight-to-series order for a 10-episode inaugural season, according to Variety.
While no casting information has been revealed, the series, reportedly set during “the vibrant and volatile 1990s,” will explore the formation of the...

Half a century later, as much mystery surrounds what Brian Jones brought to the Rolling Stones as the circumstances of his death.
It has been 50 years since the Rolling Stones’ Brian Jones drowned in the swimming pool at his country home and his death is still as much a mystery as it was on July 3, 1969. He was 27, the same age as his hero, blues musician Robert Johnson. They were the first recognized members of the "27 Club," artists who died at that age like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Linda Jones, Kurt Cobain, and Amy Winehouse. Johnson and Jones share another honor in the dark mythology of rock and roll. Their circumstances of their deaths are shrouded with unanswered questions. Johnson may have been poisoned. Jones may have been intentionally drowned. Both left legacies which influence artists to this very day. The same can be said of the lingering questions.

The Verve’s 1997 hit “Bitter Sweet Symphony” is one of the finest songs of the Britpop era, a classically Nineties expression of world-weary cool with just the right amount of English self-regard. It’s a song that only Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft could have written — except that he didn’t, according to a notorious copyright ruling. Ashcroft’s song famously sampled an orchestral cover of the Rolling Stones’ “The Last Time,” and a lawsuit from former Stones manager Allen Klein shortly after its release forced him to hand over 100 percent...

“The Handmaid’s Tale” will be eligible for Emmys this year after all since the season two episodes that aired too late for consideration last year will be entered this year as orphaned episodes. It’s a reasonable change, but it’s also a reminder of shows whose orphaned episodes were never adopted by the television academy. Specifically, “Six Feet Under” had episodes that tragically died in the orphanage.
The Emmys eligibility period runs from June 1 to the following May 31. That calendar used to be strictly enforced until the year of the “Sopranos” finale, when the television academy instituted a rule allowing “hanging episodes” to be considered if a series aired its last few shows in June.

When the Rolling Stones play a stadium, they usually stick to the hits. So it was extra surprising in Hamburg, Germany on September 9th, 2017 when they broke out 1965’s haunting “Play With Fire” for the first time in nearly 30 years.
The song, originally released as a B-side to “The Last Time,” is a classic, the story of a young high-society woman and her mother who’s “an heiress, owns a block in Saint John’s Wood.” It’s full of mystery, with some wondering if it’s about Jagger having...

Today’s Ltp is near and dear to my heart, ’cause I very nearly shattered by 360 controller this weekend when “Battlefield 1943″ crapped out on me for the 7th time. And yet I kept playing. Oh, the irony. Anyway, here are some of your most recent controller-breaking moments:
TheRotArm @multiplayers Playing Dash of Destruction. Easy 200 gamerpoints my arse.
SeanBeanland @multiplayers The weird floaty physics in LIttleBigPlanet made me throw my controller after dying in one story level over and over.
jrafacz @multiplayers Last week…COD4 MP match against co-workers…my lop-sided keyboard slipped…couldn’t dodge an opponent…got killed…argh
tylerstyle @multiplayers Easy. Shadow of the Colossus. I held onto a Giant so fierce, that my R1 Button broke. I just didn’t want to let go.
cbranger @multiplayers when playing call of duty: world at war I broke three sixaxis contollers. One “unfixable” two sold to Gamecrazy… Hah...

Lily Allen cried the last time she took public transport. The "Fear" singer - who performed an intimate concert this week where she demanded fans wore underground station-themed fancy dress - is still "haunted" by the experience, which saw her recognized by fans.
She said: "Last time I went on the underground was New Year's Eve a year or two ago. I'm a bit haunted by it now because I was trying to get into the center of town to see my boyfriend and I was on my own."
"People started shouting and singing 'Smile' at me and I was in tears, 'Just leave me alone'. And people were like, 'What the f**k are you doing on the Tube?'"...

Liev Schreiber can't remember when he last slept like a "human being." The 41-year-old actor - who has two sons, 21-month-old Alexander and four-month-old Samuel, with fiancee Naomi Watts - admits having children so close together means he often has sleepless nights.
He said: "I don't remember the last time I slept like a human being."
"There's nothing fun about the age they're at right now. Each one on their own is insanely fun, but the combination of the two of them after hours is chaos."
Although there is only 17 months between the two boys, Liev says he is yet to witness any brotherly bonding.

Ta fan May talks about the last time she saw TwilightnbspThe Last Time I Saw Twilight by MayThe lights fade in a movie theatre and my friend Ally and I exchange anxious glances. This will be the 14th time weve seen Twilight in as many weeks. We groan through the previews we have now seen 14 times and we pray there arent any unfortunate outbursts from crying babies or rabid fans both of which have dampened the film before. As the opening scene of Bella in Arizona plays and the audience seems to be composed I settle in for one more viewing. Ally nervously checks her cell phone for a call from her boyfriend which should have come an hour before but as the movie continues to Forks she too begins to settle. I hear us sigh as Edward enters the cafeteria and I wonder how weve both become so completely consumed.
