- A scene takes place in a brothel but nothing is seen. We just hear laughing and see a man and a woman kissing in the background.
- A man claims another man has "lusted after women".
- A couple are briefly seen kissing in the background of a scene. Nothing sexual at all.
Violence & Gore

- A man injures his leg and has a limp for the rest of the movie.
- Multiple onscreen deaths throughout the course of the film.
- There is violence in this film but in only two scenes. Both of them are brutal and unexpected but show minimal gore; despite this it's still very realistic.
- In a mining well a man is struck and killed by a falling beam. This is jarring and sudden and blood mist fills the air.
- A man falls down a hole, landing on his back and groaning in pain.
- Two men are killed in separate mining accidents: one struck by a metal pipe and one struck by a falling beam. Both of these scenes are very shocking and even scary coming out of nowhere and both of them show some blood. One scene shows a corpse with lots of blood on it.
- A man is slapped around many times and choked.
- A boy slaps and punches his father.
- A man is beaten over the head with a blunt object. His head is bashed in 3 times, most of it is offscreen. Later we see his head caved in (pretty gory) and lots of blood puddle beneath his body. Blood is also sprayed on the wall. The killer sits beside his dead body. This is the most bloody scene in the entire movie.
- A man is grabbed and shot in the head. This is vdry realistic and disturbing although not gory. We see the impact bluntly onscreen and the man slowly dies while the gun is pressed on his head. A little bit of blood can be glimpsed although what makes this scene graphic is not the detail but its realism.
Profanity

- No uses of any moderate profanity.
- "Goddamn" is said multiple times throughout the film. "Hell" is also said.
- 1 instance where a man calls another a "sniveling ass".

- A man mixes alcohol from a flask with milk and serves it to a child twice.
- Some smoking and drinking.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- As the film goes on one of the main characters begins to go crazy and more violent. This can be disturbing to the viewers.

- A boy is injured in an intense scene involving an accident on an oil rig. He later loses his hearing because of the accident.

- In the final act, the main character is a severe alcoholic.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The murder of one of the main characters is disturbing and graphic. The argument that takes place before is very intense.
- The scene where a man is shot is disturbing.
- A violent gas explosion is depicted and a child is permanently disabled because of it.
- A house is set in flames on purpose, two men try to put it out.
