Goofs

At the beginning of the movie, during the heist, the robbers enter through the front doors (let's call this wall "north" and the wall that the bus crashes through is "west"). At the end of the robbery when the bus leaves and the camera shows the exterior of the bank, the bus makes a right turn (merges with the other buses which are running directly parallel with the front wall "north"). This is wrong since the bus only made a 90 degree turn, which would have made it directly perpendicular with the "north" wall instead of parallel as it is depicted in the film. In order for the bus to have merged with the other buses and proceed driving parallel with the "north" wall, it would have had to make a 180 degree turn instead of the 90 degree that was depicted in the film. You also know for a fact that the bus crashes through the "west" wall because throughout the heist, you can clearly see the windows that are shown later on the outside when the buses are leaving. Quotes

[first lines]
Grumpy: [with Chuckles, picks up Bozo on the street] Three of a kind, let's do this!
Chuckles: That's it? Three guys?
Grumpy: Two guys on the roof. Every guy gets a share. Five shares is plenty.
Chuckles: *Six* shares. Don't forget the guy who planned the job.
Grumpy: He thinks he can sit it out and still take a slice?
Dopey: [up on the roof] I know why they call him "The Joker".
Happy: [breaking open the alarm box with Dopey] So why do they call him "the Joker"?
Dopey: I hear he wears makeup.
Happy: Makeup?

Alternate Versions

The Blu-ray version of the movie has several of the big action scenes and high altitude photography scenes in ordinary 16:9 (1.78:1) widescreen ratio while the rest of the movie preserves the "scope" format (2.39:1). This is because these scenes were filmed in IMAX, whose format is 1.43:1, thus attempting to recreate the effect witnessed in IMAX theaters, as well as preserving as much of these shots as possible. 9.4 Top Contender for 'Best Superhero Movie'
14 January 2021 | by has1erSee all my reviews

*level of enjoyment* #10 top tier - from start to finish The Dark Knight has you on the edge of your seat, enjoying every minute

*likelihood to recommend* #10 highest recommendation - if you haven't seen it, watch it, it is a masterpiece, the downside? likely to put all future Batman features to shame

*quality of acting* #9 excellent - Bale is the gold standard Batman, gruff, tough, aloof, positively fueled by the tragedies of his dark past. Ledger is the nightmare villain, twisted, evil, unapologetic, irrational, completely void of a moral compass

*quality of writing* #10 perfection - one of those movies you wish you could have a memory edit in order to watch again and again

*quality of intangibles* #8 excellent - visual is on point, dark gloomy Gotham, perfect setting for a hero to operate and succeed from the shadows very good - music and sound puts viewers in the mood and anticipating the next intense scene
