The script was first performed as an original play for Films On Consignment's theatrical off-shoot, Theatre On Consignment. The film was shot a week after the play's performance, with the stage cast intact. Shooting consisted of two nights of "bookend" footage (the scenes that open and close the film, showing the characters before and after the bar), and two full days of the titular conversations (two were shot on the first day, three on the second). The conversations were shot with two cameras and lavaliere microphones. See more
