Pleasing in a quiet way
deickemeyer16 December 2017
This number, written by Ashley Miller, comes nearer being a comedy-drama than straight drama. The engaged girl is twice rescued by a young man who steps in ahead of her cowardly lover. After the first incident she returns the ring to her fiancé. Betty's encouragement of Alec to make love to her was a pleasing bit. The picture as a whole is pleasing in a quiet way. Bessie Learn, Arthur Housman, Harry Gripp and Mrs. Erskine appear. - The Moving Picture World, November 1, 1913
