Storyline

A gun-for-hire "Hitman" is a genetically-engineered, elite assassin known only as Agent 47 hired by a group known only as 'The Organization' is ensnared in a political conspiracy, which finds him pursued by both Interpol and the Russian military as he treks across Eastern Europe. But even 47 couldn't anticipate a "random equation" in his life exactitude: the unexpected stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a mysterious Russian woman. Trivia

Xavier Gens had shot a completely different train station platform sequence. It takes place outside the train station, rather than underground, and involves 47 questioning one assassin, rather than engaging 4 in a sword fight. See more »

Goofs

The interpol agents and St. Petersburg police discuss intercepting Agent 47 at the St. Petersburg Station. However there is no St. Petersburg train station in St. Petersburg. The train station shown on the map is the Moscow Station, located in Revolution Square whereas the Leningrad (the former name for St. Petersburg) station is located in Moscow. This is because in Russia, train stations are named after the main destination they serve (there is also a Kiev station in Moscow for example). They were designed by the same architect. See more »

Better than expected
21 November 2007 | by AMH57See all my reviews

This by far is the best video game adaptation movie I have ever seen. It stayed mostly true to the games but instead the agents were orphans instead of clones. There were many great action scenes and nods to the games, such as Agent 47 stealing various outfits, his weapons and his odd ways of killing his targets. the movie reminded me of an all new game in itself.

Not to mention Nika (Olga Kurylenko) was amazingly HOT in this movie and has various topless scenes which made me happy :) and she wasn't a bad actress either. I think Timothy Olyphant was THE perfect Agent 47 and captured the character perfectly I would definitely see this movie multiple times!!!!! I highly recommend this movie to fans of the video games or if you love action movies altogether!!!!!
